I think it's a mix, but most like the latter...
It's the end of my three-day weekend. Bummer. I had visions of getting in some awesome two-a-days, starting with Friday - but none of it came to life, except for yesterday and today.
Remember last week when I was so excited about getting a solid week's worth of training in and said that I should probably hold off from saying I'm back and in training mode because the week following would be nothing compared to last week?
Well, I was right.
My workouts this week went something like this:
M, T, W - nothing
Th - morning swim: 2500m of speed work
F, the 4th - nothing!
S - 41 mile bike ride by myself, 1 mile run brick w/ Duke (and I rocked that one mile!)
S - 9 mile run around WRL
But if you were to graph the amount of time I worked out this week with the amount of time I worked in the office and at home, it'll explain itself. In this past four day work week, I billed 40 or so hours. For example, Tuesday, instead of going to swim at 6am, I went to work at 7am - and came home at 6:30pm.
And what's worse is my legs on today's run SUCKED! Each leg felt like a ton of bricks. What is the deal?? I personally think it's due to a couple of factors, such as getting back on the bike, my hips out of place, etc. Before I got back into long rides on Saturday, my legs - and my runs - were much better. But they need to be much better with the long rides.
My chiro is telling me to take L-glutamine, which is in my Endurox I take after long rides and runs - should I take it after my shorter workouts too?
I NEED MY LEGS BACK, PLEASE!
