Does swimming 250 out of 2,500 miles count as crossing the Atlantic?

Last week I blogged amazed at the woman who swam across the Atlantic Ocean within a month's time.

It turns out the whole story wasn't told.

It seems that Jennifer Figge swam approximately 250 miles out of the 2,500 mile distance between her two destinations of Africa and the Caribbean.

I'm still amazed at someone planning and attempting to do something so grand, but I do not believe swimming only 10% of the Atlantic counts as crossing the Atlantic.

What do you think?
